Texas Disabled Veteran (DV) license plates
TxDMV issues Disabled Veteran plates with "DV" in the plate number. TxDMV also requires that you receive compensation from the U.S. government for the disability. DV plates without the access symbol do not authorize disabled parking.

You must be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, with a service-connected disability of at least 50 percent, or at least 40 percent due to the amputation of a lower extremity.
How to apply
- Complete TxDMV Form VTR-615.
- Submit it to your county tax assessor-collector office.
